"Duma Key" by Stephen King

What more can be said of any story from Stephen King?  The man knows the art of what makes for a good story: well-drawn characters, a strong plot to drive the story forward, and subtle thematic elements to give the reader something beyond mere entertainment. While holes do exist in the supernatural elements, the characters themselves and the mystery they unravel to expose that otherworldly entity is well worth the time.  You are on the scene, observing everything, at the moment the characters’ speak them into existence
